We are going to miss you so much. I'm so grateful to have gotten to know you and to be able to host your farewell. Your impact is indelible and much larger than this metro area. I'm hopeful this will be good for you. I KNOW*** you will be good for them.
If we're being honest we knew you were destined for bigger and better things. It's because of everything you've done here that we will be able to easily carry the torch to be advocates. I've met so many wonderful humans in this area that are fiercely dedicated, and we will continue to support each other while drawing strength from your new adventures. Congrats - we're proud of you!!
Moving takes so much heart, time, mental energy and nerve. I hope you and your wife are taking all the time you need to rest, connect and feel. And I wish all the best for you on this next adventure!!
Good luck and best wishes. Yes, moving in itself is so much work and leaving can be difficult. As I review all the moves I've made, all were to a better situation and not so geographically challenging so not losing friends for the distance. All that until my now exwife pushed me out of a really nice home in an area I absolutely loved. Even then the balance there was the promise of living my true life and I'm fine being where I am. I hope that you will find this to be similar - that though leaving is hard, your new setting will be an opportunity for growth and hopefully you can keep up communication with your best friends and when things are right, can return to visit them and perhaps go to the park, restaurants, etc that you never got around to visiting. As we all so often say... It Gets Better!
Hubby and kids and I lived in St Louis (well, west county) for two years (2009-2011) and we loved it there! The people were wonderful. I'm sure you'll be missed! (PS glad to have found you on here... I bought your book a few months ago!)

Moving is always so very hard! I will be thinking of you as you go through the good-byes and "one last time"s. Thank you for being vulnerable.
You will be so missed! We were so blessed and lucky to have you! ❤️❤️
