This might be the longest good news recap I have written thus far... and it's not just because I'm chatty. LGBTQ+ representation in politics has tripled since 2017, and more great stuff in here!
Hey, Kards Unlimited (a book/gift/card/cute things store here in Pittsburgh, PA) has had a sign on their door for a while saying that any proceeds from their leftover Harry Potter merch will be donated to Trans YOUniting ( a local trans advocacy org).
tysm for writing this roundup. i was particularly fatigued and downtrodden this time and forgot that how i view things can also be how i limit what i see. but reading through the loooong list of good news refuel the sense of hope that had gotten smacked down.
Hello Ben. I've been reading and on board here for a good long period of time now. It's feels like the oly safe place to read about any current events. While it can never be as protected as we hope it's is still a relief.
I'm wondering if you keep any file of where you are making "appearences". I'd love to try to get to one. Im in northern New England. Sometimes I can get out and around any of newingland and as far down as maybe DC. It just takes planning. So if you ever put together something like that it would be interesting.
Second is there a way to connect that is not quite as wide open as this public space?
In any case thank you for engaging in life the way you do. And for sharing that with the wider audience here. - Marc
Hey Marc! I try not to make it too public for safety reasons, but I travel all over for events (and have quite a bit of family in northern new england, too!) Feel free to send me a message, or an email through bgtranstalks@gmail.com I'm so glad to hear this newsletter has been meaningful for you <3
I attended four Pridefests in the Midwest in June, but there's one in Omaha next weekend. I'll be broadcasting Live there on Saturday. There's also one in Columbia, MO, and Reno,NV, both in September.
I love when places schedule theirs outside of Pride Month.

Amazing!!!
I love reading news like this. With everything that's happening, it's good to know that there are fights that are being won.
Absolutely! And there are wins like this every single week even if folks aren't hearing about them. That's exactly why I started this whole thing!
I really appreciate your roundups, & thought I’d share this trans history project being undertaken by Baltimore Center Stage

I’m so, so glad to hear that, friend! I know how one-sided things can feel. That isn’t an accident! I’m glad I can provide a little more hope.
Thank you for continually providing good news in a time of so much pain. 🩷
It is truly a gift to be able to be a source of hope for so many right now. thank you, friend!
Thank you, Ben, you beautiful beacon.
Thank you so much ❤️
